There is much to see and do in our beautiful corner of Herefordshire where visitors are welcomed. Historical attractions include a Castle, Church, Offa's Dyke, the site of a Mediaeval Village, a Horse-drawn tramway route, a disused railway, and a used and refurbished private railway. The village is also on the Black And White Village Trail because of its older character houses in the black and white style.
As well as activities and attractions in the parish itself, we are close to the market town of Kington which has a further selection of things to do and places to go. There is a wide choice of accommodation in this area of fantastic, unspoiled countryside. There are twenty miles of footpaths to be explored, and a medieval deer park that is alive with wildlife.
The backbone of the rural economy is still agriculture, but there is a wide range of goods and services on offer from our diverse and thriving smaller businesses. The two largest businesses are Burgoyne's of Lyonshall (approx 60 employees in Marquees, Transport and Agriculture), and Lynhales Nursing Home with over 80 employees and about the same number of residents.
